 India defeated England in a thrilling T20 World Cup 2026 semifinal after posting 253 runs. Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson played a brilliant innings of 89 runs off 42 balls.Two superb catches and superb fielding helped India win the match.

England fought hard with a superb century from Jacob Bethell, who smashed 105 runs from 48 balls. Despite his heroic knock, England finished at 246/7, falling just short of the target.

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya delivered an important bowling performance, taking 2 wickets for 38 runs, helping India defend the total in a tense finish.
