The Gudimallam Parasurameswara Swamy Temple, located near Tiruchanur in Tirupati district Andhra pradesh, is one of India’s most ancient and historically significant temple. This is one of the oldest known Shiva Lingams in the world, the temple stands as a priceless symbol of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage

          Historians believe that the Gudimallam Shiva Lingam dates back to the 2nd century BCE, making it over 2,000 years old. Unlike traditional lingams, this unique sculpture features a human-like form of Lord Shiva carved on the front, holding a water vessel and wearing traditional ornaments, which remains the main attraction for devotees and researchers alike.

Thousands of devotees visit the temple during festivals like Maha Shivaratri and Karthika Masam. Located just 8 km from Tirupati, Gudimallam Temple remains an important spiritual and heritage destination.
