India entered
the T20 World Cup 2026 semi-final after defeating West Indies by five wickets in
a must-win Super Eight clash at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata last night. Chasing
196, Sanju Samson scored an unbeaten 97 to lead India to victory. West Indies
earlier made 195/4 but failed to defend the total. India completed the chase
with four balls remaining. The win knocked West Indies out of the tournament.
India will now
face England in semifinal match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.
